Our version of the much-loved Mexican Mole’ sauce is made without the traditional ingredients of nuts or seeds. But, rest assured it does contain delicious chocolate and it does come with the Chilli hit that you’d expect from Bumblebee Cottage.
We only use one single variety of Chilli in this sauce, and that’s ‘Naga’. The reasoning for this is that Naga has a natural smoky finish, not too dissimilar to the Ancho and Passila Chillies that are used in the traditional Mexican recipes.
Traditionally used as a savoury sauce over Nachos and Quesadillas but is lovely too across BBQ’d dark meats, in ‘campfire’ beans and Bolognese sauces.
