When we created our first trilogy of sauces from Chillies grown on-site here at Bumblebee Cottage, we wanted the 3 sauces to do 3 things. Firstly, they HAD to be super tasty and so we worked very closely with the professional chefs who manufactured these for us to obtain the exact flavour that we wanted.

Secondly, we wanted to reflect the area that Bumblebee Cottage is situated and in which we, as owners, are incredibly proud; Delabole (hence Delhi Bole…say it out loud!)

And finally, we wanted to create a sauce that was influenced by somewhere that we, as owners had either lived, traveled extensively, or had experience or training in cooking from that originating country. As owners, we’ve not only tasted Indian influenced foods across the world, but we’ve also been trained in various forms of Indian cookery too.

This sauce is mid range in terms of heat and is best eaten with Indian flat breads like Roti and Naans but also with Poppadoms and as a seasoning over rice and side dishes like Bombay Potatoes when the flavour and heat needs a bit of a ‘lift’!
