Description
When we created our first trilogy of sauces from Chillies grown on-site here at Bumblebee Cottage, we wanted the 3 sauces to do 3 things. Firstly, they HAD to be super tasty and so we worked very closely with the professional chefs who manufactured these for us to obtain the exact flavour that we wanted.
Secondly, we wanted to reflect the area that Bumblebee Cottage is situated and in which we, as owners, are incredibly proud; Delabole (Fiyah in D’Bole).
And finally, we wanted to create a sauce that was influenced by somewhere that we, as owners had either lived or traveled extensively, and of course, we have spent a LOT of time as a couple in the Caribbean (‘Fiyah’ is Jamaican slang).
This sauce is at the VERY HOT end in the range in terms of heat and can be used on BBQs, in stews and sauces or indeed on/in anything where you are brave enough to do so. If you’ve ever visited Jamaica or Grenada in particular, they use sauces derived mainly from Scotch Bonnets and they are hot. But our sauces are from even hotter chillies like the Naga, Carolina Reaper and Bhut Jolokia.
