Bumblebee Cottage really is a Cottage and we have a fabulous small outdoor kitchen kitted out with a range of different BBQ apparatus. Learn how to cook a range of different dishes and have the confidence to take your skills to the next level when you get home!
Our courses season only runs between end of June and end of August each year because of the unpredictable weather. The courses are ‘hands on’ and you’ll be using equipment which could include the Kamado (Big Green Egg), Konro, Asado, Tandoor and Pro-Q Smoker. For 2026 all guests will receive a Welcome Pack including a Bumblebee Cottage apron, a digital temperature probe and course notes and recipes to take home with you.

Our 2026 Cookery Courses:
For 2026 we are hosting 6 different types of course over 12 different dates, with each course consisting of 4 attendees, and the courses will be:
– BBQ for less than a Fiver ‘a head’
– BBQ for Beginners
– Vegetarian BBQ
– Mediterranean, North Africa and Middle East BBQ
– Hot and Cold Smoking for Beginners
– Introduction to the Big Green Egg
We will also offer Bespoke BBQ day courses in 2026 here at the Cottage for £750 for up to 4 people (no minimum number requirement if you book the day) whereby we can tailor the course to your own requirements and you can have the entire course between you and your friends/family. It works out cheaper than 4 x individual bookings and the course will be taken at your own pace.
